Let every believer think it through. Before Adam fell; before the world was made; even before an angel ever prostrated himself before Jehovah’s throne; when there was nothing but God in the eternal concert of his three majestic Persons—then the thoughts of God were upon you! These thoughts were loving thoughts, deciding that every spiritual blessing in heavenly places should be yours, in Christ. Such thoughts have been in God’s mind for as long as he has been God!
